UPDATE, 6-20-12:  EXCELLENT news!!!!!!  The "World Championship" donkey-roping, which was to have been held in Van Horn, Texas, this weekend has been cancelled!!!!!!

Sometimes, a bunch of pressure from concerned individuals can actually make a difference!  Hooray!!!  A donkey rescue stands ready, willing, and able to take the donkeys who would have been tormented.

Some days it seems that the outrages perpetrated by humanity will never end.

Bear baiting, dog fighting, and now, we learn about donkey roping.

Patrick used to be abused in this way.

Patrick is safe now, but many many other donkeys are still in danger.

So people can "have fun."
