My plan is to walk at least a mile (not including the dog's quarter of a mile) essentially every day. Since yoga is between half and three quarters of a mile from home, I usually count the round trip to yoga as my Wednesday walk.
On the 13th it was so gorgeous out that we walked the usual loop, in addition to the yoga trip.
I spotted this flower pot from down the block and across the street. We crossed the street to facilitate getting the pot against the darkness of the tree. I squatted down to take the pic, which was Just Too Much for this big puppy. What was I doing, so near to his yard? He wasn't at all sure it was ok, whatever it was!
I don't have pics of greeting him and petting him. His mom showed up seconds after he came over to check us out. He decided we were probably ok, but he was keeping an eye on us. Silly monkeys. Acting weird!
Here's what caught my eye.
It's a bit blurry, and the lights are lighter than I wanted. I watercolored it, and like this better. The bigger versions show the difference better. (As always, click on any pic to embiggen.)
Clump of happy daylilies in the sunshine. These are almost up to my shoulders.
Green tree, red tree. With flamingo.
Another yard, more embellishment.
Closeup.....
Oak-leaf hydrangea.
Correopsis.
Pretty sure this is a geranium.
Cool, that we can see the anthers opening. Love the colors......
See the little buggy guy?
Now I am walking to yoga. The sky over West Park.
A red-wing black bird buzzed me a couple of times as I walked on the bridge over the pond. He dived at my head, and made a buzzing noise (I think with his wings).
No sign of ducks. I hope for the best for them.
After class, walking home.
The same roses. Trying for a less-obtrusive background.....
