Cocktails in the Library, Mary Elizabeth Vivash Kineh.
Love the haphazard look, and the circles with the strips. Olives and books, I can see it.....
Contemporary Medallion, Gwen Marston (quilted by Robyn House Guettler).
Love the fabric choices in this work.... I wonder if this is Marcia Derse's fabric.....
When I read the info card, I was totally jealous. Then I remembered that while I love some fabrics of this kind, I do not love all of them.........
My favorite part of this is the center, out to the blue straight-edged borders.
I especially love this uneven zigzag. Love that some of the zigs come right out of that border into the next, and love the yellow bubbles on the red fabric.
The center is my favorite part of this one.
Love the colors, love fabric she chose for the basket. Love the dots in the blues around the yellow rectangle.....
While we are admiring good design, let's notice this shiny new convention center. Excellent signage.
Looking up. Wondering why there are two climby-uppy things right next to each other.
This lovely space is in the curved part of the convention center which can be seen from the river.
Walking across the bridge, on our way back to the car. Part of the bridge -- metal, and concrete....... Wow! Love the colors and textures.
It was hot -- low 90s, I think. Not horrible, but too hot to want to spend time outside.
You can see the round part of the convention center, just to the left of the trees, etc, on the other side of the river.
More textures and colors. This is a broken piece of wood, next to the edge of the bridge.
Looking around in the parking lot.
I noticed, when we were inside the quilt show, that nearly everyone there was a woman of our age. I don't often find myself in situations where nearly everyone fits my demographic. It was sort of strange.
You'd think I'd have turned around to see whose excellent stripes were reflected by these two vehicles, wouldn't you? But I didn't.
I figured going round the quilt show (and back and forth to the parking lot) counted as my walk, but I still walked Willard.
I picked this up, and brought it home to photograph...... Poster-edged.
