August 27

.

Lovely much-needed rain.  It started about midnight, and rained until nearly noon.  A nice steady rain, that was able to soak in and really benefit the plants.

As glad as I was to have rain, it did not enhance my trip to the airport to retrieve our daughter, who had been in Baltimore visiting a friend.

Someone slid a semi off the road.  The traffic snarl, as they dealt with that, was also not an enhancement to my trip.  I was glad I was retrieving someone from the airport, rather than taking them there.  This is why leaving an extra 20-30 minutes in your schedule is good.  No nail biting, despite the delay.......

It cleared up as we came back from the airport.  It was cloudy off and on all day, but there was no more rain.

Walking me.

I always thought these black spots on maple leaves were a result of a wet summer.

I guess not.

Walking Wilbur.  He, sniffing to his heart's content.  Me, reading as we mosey along.
