This is a really interesting article from Smithsonian.

I had no idea pigs could be anorexic....

It turns out that many conditions that I associate with humans are also found in other species.

My main take-away from the article is that we'll all be better off if there can be Medicine, and nevermind what species the patient may be.  That all medical practitioners have valuable knowledge to share with all other medical practitioners.......

Vets have known this for a long time, but doctors who work on people are only beginning to get the memo.

Here's hoping they wake up and smell the puppy toes!
