September 15

.

Farmers' market.

Hot peppers.

Eggplant.

Okaaaaayyyyy.....................

Squash.

Running errands on a football day requires careful planning.  You don't want to drive across Main Street, if you can help it, unless the game is in progress.

You can walk across Main Street before the game (because you can walk through gridlock, but you can't drive through it).

We live west of Main Street.  If we park west of Main Street, we can go to the farmers' market.

I had to go to the bulk food store, the library, and to the grocery.  The grocery and the bulk food store are within a mile of the stadium.

It's sort of creepy, going near the stadium when the game is on.  There are cars EVERYWHERE.  Parking lots you can usually drive into are packed with cars.  People's yards are packed with cars.  Side streets are packed with cars.

You have a real sense of being in the eye of the hurricane.  You know things were crazy not that long before, and you know things will be crazy again, pretty soon, and you just hope you can get your shopping done and get home before all hell breaks loose again.

So peculiar -- all this fuss about a football game.  A game you can see better on tv.

I don't get it.
