 There are only a flew leaves left on our tulip tree.  They were bright gold, in the morning sunlight.

Somehow this image, taken through two panes of glass, isn't very satisfying.

What if we crop it?

Still, not as striking as I thought the leaves were, in reality.




This next one has been cropped again, resized to a smaller image, watercolored three times, lightened, and watercolored one last time.  I rather like it.

At the other end of the day -- walking in the late afternoon.  This is another leaf from that tree slightly down the hill.  Excellent shape on these leaves, and this time we can see it better, against a dark background.

I wonder where they are going.......

At least the sky still has color...........
