March 30 -- lunch and later

.

My lunch -- squash ravioli in a cream sauce with walnuts.  This was lovely.

My daughter had sarde in saor (Venetian-style sweet and sour sardines), another traditional Venetian dish.  Again, quite edible, but did not knock our socks off.

It was the lego Donald Duck that caught my eye.  On "the big screen," I realized this pic also shows another sort of signage, directing us to the Rialto Bridge.

Fancy fabric in a shop window.

This one seems to come in big panels (the white line, at left, separates two panels).  I wonder what the intended use is....  Love the colors.....

Earlier this year, Lush Cosmetics made a nice contribution to CorgiAid, at the suggestion of one of their customers.  (Thank you, Lush, for supporting good causes!)

This was the first time I'd seen one of their stores.

I think this was the smallest bridge we saw.  It looks like it might be a private one, from one house (or business?) to another?  The public walkway does not reach the bridge.

You can see, in the water, that it is raining.  Again.

Different shapes and ages of buildings.

Interesting chimneys.  (zoomed in on the upper right, above)

Visiting a grocery store.  This is in the refrigerator case with things like ham.  Creepy......

Scuola Grande di San Marco -- now a hospital.

Stopping in a nice warm, dry cafe for a coffee.

Back in our apartment.  Cooking our broccoli from our boat market.

This apartment had a well-equipped kitchen, including some pretty good olive oil.

Mmmmm.

Getting ready for more bread and toast.

Dessert!
