When an Army of Artists Fooled Hitler

Here is another fascinating article from SmithsonianMag.com -- during WWII, artists of various kinds so convincingly faked tanks, planes, and huge groups of soldiers, that they were able to lure the Germans away from places where real action would take place.

Wow.  Definitely one for the "who knew?" department!

Did you see the PBS show "Ghost Army" that was on last Tuesday? It may well be online for a bit. If so, you'll find it at video.wkar.org and then look in the programs tab -- if you don't see it, put it in the search thing by the drop down. It was completely fascinating. Can't wait to read the article!
