Starting another of Jill Churchill's Jane Jeffry books.
I'm finding more feathers this year than I remember in past years. I hope it's that I'm better at spotting them, and not that the birds are in trouble and are loosing more feathers!
The sycamores are shedding. This, too, is more dramatic than I remember in previous years. There is a solid layer of shed bark pieces, in some yards.....
Something else colorful, on the sidewalk. Mountain ash berry. These are small -- under a centimeter in diameter.
Speaking of colorful -- look how many colors there are in the tiny pebbles in the concrete!
