more from Maps

More interesting stuff from Maps and the Geospatial Revolution.....

I am learning as much about social media (I do not use FB or Twitter) as I am learning about maps........  There is a bunch of discussion about how/when info gathered from social media is or is not reliable or useful.

Twitter, and the confirmation or debunking of rumors about the 2011 London riots.  Click on one of the pictures of rumored events, and see a timeline of agree/disagree/query tweets (slide the arrow-thingie from left to right to see what happens over time).

More (and more) maps...........

World map, with overlays of population by latitude and by longitude.....

American Vice: Mapping the 7 Deadly Sins

This one is pretty.  Submarine Cable Map 2013

I'd seen this one before -- "Pop" vs "Soda"

US States Renamed For Countries With Similar GDPs

"Pain au chocolat" ou "Chocolatine"   (scroll down to see the excellent orange/blue map)
