babies remember sounds they heard in utero

I think they should call it "sounds" rather than "words" because "word" implies meaning (no one talks about nonsense-syllable "words".............), but it's interesting, regardless.

I am convinced that Miranda and Byron both remembered my singing The Lumber Jack Song to them in utero. They certainly calmed down as infants when I would sing it to them.

If only we'd thought to sing something to V. before she was born. Maybe that would have been comforting to her later......
