Walking through West Park on my way downtown to have lunch with my buddies.
There were lots of ducks on the pond.
I don't know what ducks eat, but whatever it is, there must be plenty of it in this pond. More than a dozen ducklings were raised in this pond this summer. I don't think ducks eat fish (but I may well be wrong). There are a lot of fish in the pond. You can see a goldfish in the lower left corner of this next image.
Very pleased with my little inexpensive camera that it does such a good job, at a distance, of capturing detail on an object in motion!
The texture of the feathers, the crinkle of skin on the duck's heel.....
