My better half did some more work from home, in the penultimate week of October. This is a screen shot of thermal video. The camera is pointed at the windows at the front of the house. We take the storm window off one of the pair of windows (for the summer), but not the other (as it hard to get at and doesn't really make much difference to the amount of air in the room).
This shot shows you part of both windows, one with storm window, and one without. The warmer window is on the right. Isn't it amazing how much difference it makes? The house is much quieter, too, when all the storms are on.
We put up the last of the storm windows the weekend of the 26th/27th. We are getting too old to put up and take down heavy wooden storm windows (especially on the second floor!). I think it's time to bite the bullet and buy new windows........... Not looking forward to that.
Parked and ready to head to the farmers' market. Clover and whatever that little white-flowered stuff is, in tall grass in front of an empty house in my old neighborhood.
Queen Anne's lace.
It's hard for me to take pics at the market when I'm with others. I always feel like I am annoying everyone by stopping..........
This bike was across the street from Zingerman's. At this time of year, most vegetable plants are done, or nearly done. This is the time of year when people walk around with whole kale plants under their arms. Or put whole Brussels sprouts plants in their bike panniers.
Compare the size of the plant to the size of the bike wheel.......
Later. Me and Willard, walking.
And sniffing.

I love Brussels Sprouts -- and that photo in the pannier is great!
I love them, too.
That whole plant, stuck in the pannier -- made me laugh. :-) Just imagining someone riding along, with this plant apparently growing out of the pannier....
:-)
