Goodness! I wasn't expecting to see so much conscious design intent at the tire store! Interesting sink, interesting faucet, and fancy tile on the wall, too.

He is working on putting his ears up. Every year, for the last several years, they have gotten closer to standing up.
This is the kind of messy-background snapshot I don't like to take, or display, but it's the best image I've gotten of his latest ear accomplishments. Both of his ears stand up more than they did 10 years ago. I think, if he had another 10 years, they might stand right up.

I couldn't get good frost photos to save my soul! These are fabulous! And three cheers for the Ears of Bert! He's such a cutie!
I do put the camera on the "macro" setting. And I do try to move around to see different backgrounds -- often the frost shows up better if I can get the trees behind it......
And I always take several shots in a row of exactly the same thing. I never know what the camera will decide to focus on, with something like frost.....
I should hunt up some old pics that show how much floppier Bert's ears were when he was young.... I tell him you are rooting for his ears. :-)
We've only had prick-eared dogs before, so we've never witnessed this "ears going up" phenomenon. Or maybe he's just unique.........
