In my Maps class, there was discussion about the vast amount of "where you are" data that is now available (given that practically everyone carries a cell phone at all times), and about whether that data was likely to be misused.
Some people said that it might be an issue in other places, but that in the USA, the info would not be misused.
I remember the 60s and 70s, when info about Americans' daily lives was seriously misused, so I wasn't as sanguine as my younger classmates that "it couldn't happen here."
If the class were still going, I'd suggest they watch this video about misuse of surveillance then and now...............
