February 1

.

Now this is the kind of Pure Michigan that you *would* see in one of those ads...........

Clockwise, from left -- sourdough bread with really (really) good chocolate ("Toni's Come Undone"), and almond croissant, and a pecan sticky bun ("Obama bun" -- why, I don't know).

Just a few of the myriad delights made by Zingerman's Bakehouse.  With a pot of Iron Goddess tea.

We have Saturday breakfast at Zingerman's Next Door with our daughter, whenever we can.  We go to the farmers' market, and, perhaps, the food coop (for bulk syrup, rice, popcorn, etc.), and then have breakfast and chat for a while.

A lovely comfortable habit.  That's my pecan sticky bun.  Mmmmmmm.  I'd be happy to have another, right now.

It snowed and snowed on the 1st.  We decided to do something different, and walk downtown for breakfast.  It was rather pleasant, walking in the snow.....   No pics, because I didn't want the camera to get wet.  Some day, when I have a bearer to carry all my junk, I'll always have an umbrella with me.

Rick took a baking class at Zingermann's last week. Oh, to eat the results! Made me want to sign up for something too, when the weather is better! Your breakfast looks to die for!

What did he take? Inquiring minds..... :-) Didn't you love eating the results? My daughter took puff-pastry, one time, and we got to eat palmiers (I liked the sweet ones, and the cheese ones? Oh my.....)

I loved the crackers class I took last summer.... I really wish the Bakehouse would make, and the deli would carry, the cheese crackers we made. They were totally over the top! :-)

The Bakehouse makes such a huge variety of things that are really good, and when you hit a really good thing that matches to your personal tastebuds...... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. :-)

Me and these pecans..........

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. :-)
