June 7

.

Walking to the farmers' market.

Poppies!

Some entirely different red accents.

The aftermath of breakfast.

Here's what I had.  Their cheesecake is almost as good as our recipe, and if I have theirs, there's only one piece and then its gone (instead of me eating more and more cheesecake....).

I finally got a clear pic of this package.

Love the wild oats on their motorcycles.............

[get your motor running, head out on the highway!.......]

Columbine.

Here's some of what we bought at the market:  basil, dill, thyme.

Taking a pic down into a white plastic bag (which is partly in the sunshine) is ... not the easiest.  Three kinds of marigolds, and sweet alyssum.

A bouquet of peonies (chosen after smelling dozens of bouquets to choose the one that I thought smelled best -- I definitely preferred the white ones, and liked some particular white ones better than others).

We also got a loaf of bread (paesano), and fixings for grilled hamburgers -- meat from Sparrow, and buns from Zingerman's.

More poppies, in the beautiful garden near my first house.

This house on my old street now belongs to someone I used to work with.  Love his interesting choice of plants.  Lots to look at, in a small space.  And a peony that matches the colors of his house.

There were more tulip-tree flowers on our sidewalk than I remember ever seeing before.  I suspect a squirrel was chopping them and eating some part of them, before dropping the rest on the ground............
