May 20

.

On the 20th I had lunch with one of my friends.  I happened to have a car, so I could get to Zingerman's Bakehouse.  Several Zingerman's businesses reside in one set of buildings in an industrial complex.  You can tell where they are -- the roofs are orange (in contrast to brown roofs in the rest of the complex), and the signage is characteristically bright and engaging.

I had a tuna-salad sandwich, which was tasty, and a cup of really good potato-leek soup.  And just as we were leaving the shop, they put out samples of blueberry pie.  Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

It was a very nice day.  We sat outside at a picnic table, and enjoyed the weather and our lunches.  And chatting, of course.

I would eat at the Bakehouse a lot more often if it were within walking distance of my house!

Love their graphics. I don't know that I've been to that complex but I think it's where Rick took his baguette class. Planning to sign up for Christmas cookies!
