an interesting aid to memorization

I'm signed up for a Coursera class on learning.  I got a message from class this morning, with some interesting links.

Of course there is software that functions like flashcards -- but (depending on which software) you can have audio and video and images on your cards.  There are batches of cards ready for your learning pleasure (for vocabulary in lots of different languages, say), or you can make your own.
