Blueberries.
Oh dear. I hope most of them get eaten by bigger critters than insects and bacteria!
Totally love the toasted meringue swirls on these lemon tarts...............
A Toni's Come Undone (sourdough with really REALLY good chocolate) and a Spanish Drinking Chocolate, which, really, is so thick you need to eat it with a spoon. Both are delicious. (And they were not eaten by the same person, but I thought they looked good together.)
In the Deli.
Love this bike repair station.
A series of good happenstances occurred on the morning of the 5th. My daughter's high school biology teacher, who was one of her favorite teachers of all time, happened to be in town (he has since moved to the pacific northwest). His wife called in a take-out order to the Deli that morning, and happened to mention that her husband knew our daughter. The person taking the take-out order happened to know our daughter. Our daughter happened to see the person who took that take-out order when we were in the Deli, and he mentioned to her that her old friend would be coming in to pick up an order in 15 minutes. We dawdled in the Deli, and stood around with her for a few minutes, right by that bicycle pump above. The teacher showed up, we said hello, and then we went to the farmers' market, leaving our daughter to talk some more with her teacher.
How nice that she got to see him!
Hand-painted scarf at the farmers' market.
Cute little herb planter.
I almost always remember where the things I took pics of were. But not this garden.....
Closer.
