Not as sharp as I would wish, alas.  These yellow flowers grow in my back yard.  The petals are very shiny.

I bet these are hickory flowers.  They are on the ground under the hickory tree on my block.  It never occurred to me to look up at the tree and verify these were from the hickory tree......................
