June 23

.

This rose is mine, now, but I did not plant it.  It was here when we bought the house.  The previous owner was a serious gardener.

I think roses are wonderful, but ... thorns?  Not so much.  I don't like thorns.

But this rose has earned its place -- it blooms every year, with no care whatsoever.  Well, ok, I remove dead branches.  Eventually.  But I don't spray and I don't fertilize, and this pretty little thing comes back year after year, even after this last winter's record cold.

Walking.  This is the yardful of garden I showed you a couple of days ago.

Another yard full of flowers.  Sweet peas and daylilies....

Overgrown garden beside someone's garage.  It was blurry, so I posteredged it.  I like the purple and the orange, and the barely visible big leaves of various colors in the lower right.

Another day, another mosey.  Still reading All Creatures Great and Small.
