I didn't see a squirrel chopping off these flowers, but I would bet that's what was going on.....
On the 9th I was dropped downtown so I could return a book to the University library system.

Looking west over West Park. The whole pond is in this pic, and the two light spots in the middle of the pond are ducks. The left fork of the path leads to the boardwalk/bridge over the pond, and the right fork leads around the softball field to the band shell.
Bachelors. Love the shadows and ripples.
The momma and two kid ducks. Note goldfish in the water behind the momma.
This crop from the top of the above image looks to me like a good start on a design for commercially printed fabric.....
Orange iris! I don't see that very often.
