The beautiful garden at the end of my old block. Daylilies.
Petunias. The chartreuse is sweet-potato vine
Poppy.
Ski pole, with tomatoes...........
My daughter noticed the strawberry in the same garden as the tomatoes above.
Farmers' market. Squash blossoms, and fungus.
Potatoes and patty-pan squash.
Love the flowers in with the greens. I should think to buy some of this, one day, instead of just taking its pic.
Frog Holler is an Ann Arbor institution. It was started back when I was young, in the hippy days, and is still going strong.
Currants. Aren't they gorgeous? The color, the translucence? And are they not perfect in those turquoise baskets?
Red currants always remind me of this -- perhaps the best thing I ate in France, in 2010. French toast. With currants. I talk about that lunch here.
Gooseberries. These are the first ones I remember seeing that are not-green.
Bushel full of statice.
Bouquets.
Walking back to the car. The woman with the beautiful garden had been watering.........
Daylilies.
Lily.
Daylilies.
Phlox, coneflowers, lilies......
Lilies. Star-gazer, I think.
Another typical Saturday collection of items..........
