October 28, part 2

.

Japanese maple.......

I almost always take three shots of the exact same thing, because the camera often makes different choices as to focus, color, etc.  If I take several shots, I have a choice (and am more likely to get one with crisp focus).

This next one and the one above are almost identical.  In the end, I decided I liked the one above better, but I really liked the one leaf coming in from the top (left) in the next shot.

I cropped out the part I liked best from the upper left corner of the above.

"Cut out" filter (and an even tighter crop).

"Ink outlines."

This one is a blend of the "water paper" and "water color" filters.....  Hooray for toys!

Another look at the same Japanese maple.  Wasn't it thoughtful of them to give this lovely tree a plain calm white and gray background?

A closer crop of the above, to help us enjoy the flowers in the window box.

Another Japanese maple, in front of another gray house.

Spirea usually blooms in the spring, but it's not that uncommon to see a few flowers in the fall.

Mostly gingko and burning bush, on wet pavement.

Wet gingko leaves.

Gingko fruit.  These trees grew a LOT of fruit.  I'm not sure anyone actually likes it.  I've never (for example) seen a squirrel eating any of it.

Maple.

Bradford pear.

Gingko.
