The library is still doing the "mystery book" thing, only now it has a Valentine flair.

Laughing at the very notion that books are "too much commitment".....................



I know the library staff had fun choosing and describing the "dates".............

(We googled cop mind control queen elizabeth beaver and found it, no problem......  How can anything with Priscilla Presley and OJ Simpson go wrong?  Especially with a stuffed beaver.........................  Goodness.)



I thought about taking this one, but didn't.

Here's the one I brought home.  I wasn't aware of any pioneering female zoologists studying *American* wildlife.  As I checked it out, I happened to notice, flashing by on the screen, something about Africa.........  That made me wonder if it would be Out of Africa......  But no, it's someone else in Africa, not Karen Blixen.  The pic on the cover is a woman with an elephant........

I have a TON of non-fiction checked out of the library at the moment.  I need to spend more time reading it!
