On the 2nd, I walked downtown to have lunch with my buddy K.

I walked through the park.  The pond is a huge enticement.  I walk through the park way more often than I did before there was a pond.  So pleasant, to be away from roads!  You can still hear the traffic, but it's much quieter, and it's easy to hear the birds.....

It wasn't really this dark, but I especially want the clouds to show up, so I didn't lighten this very much.

A closer look at the far-away clouds, lightened up a bit from the way the camera remembers this sky.

K. had gone to a quilt show, and had taken a bunch of pictures.  After lunch we had a good time looking through her pictures and discussing the quilts.  Her phone took nice sharp pics, so we were able to spread the pics out and have closer looks at various details.

Definitely the next best thing to going along!  I really enjoyed getting to see the pics, and getting to talk over the quilts!
