May 2, rest of day

.

A bouquet of daffodils in front of a painting at the library.

Later.  Walking.

Someone in the neighborhood loves their superheroes........

Yellow tulips.

One of my friends from work and his wife live in our neighborhood.  She is a landscape architect. This excellent magnolia is one of the plants to grace their yard.

They have added a grandpa flat to their house.  On the 2nd, they had an open house to let people see what the completed addition looks like.  It's gorgeous -- light and airy, with lots of windows, and nice clean design.  Very very nice.

Walking on home.  More quince.

More maple flowers, with half-grown leaves.

Closer and closer.  Maple flowers really have a Dr. Seussy look.  All of the important bits arising from that very green center that is shiny as though it were made from plastic.....

Fabulous colors in this post. I love seeing sidewalk art -- some of it is really good. Some, not so... On my block there are still a couple of sidewalk paintings -- and I think it was paint because it didn't come off in the winter snow. Done by the kids and so cute and cheery. I don't know if the people who live there now like having it in front of the house but every time I walk by I smile.
