July 9

.

Walking downtown to have lunch with my work buddies.  Green, green, green.

Daylily.

Art by David Zinn, transforming one of those ugly telephone wiring cabinets into something wonderful.  Note all four sides participate in showing us this creature.

Cool.  If we have to have these telephone-wire cabinets, at least let them be attractively decorated!

These look like plums......  They were between 1 and 2", I think.

Enjoyed lunch with my friends, as always.  So glad we can get together easily and without much planning!

Walking home.  Cosmos.

Coneflowers.

Diddling a bit with cropping.  Not sure I really like either of these next two better than the original....

Cosmos.  I did nothing to zip up this color.  !!!   I cropped the image, but that's all I did.

At last!  Here's my clear shot of milkweed flowers for this year!

Someone left a leg here......

This yard has more daylilies than any other yard I'm aware of.  From where we're standing to the white fence in the upper left corner, the lawn extension is packed with fancy daylilies.  Beside, and beyond the fence, in many yards (including this one), there are regular orange daylilies.  I won't say "ordinary," because, though they are common, I think they are extraordinary.

Hooray for daylilies!
