April 16

.

This little house, across the street at the end of my block, has brand new siding (and I think the roof over the entry is new, too).

Look at the window!

Guessing these curvy reflections mean the windows are not glass........  I love the result -- can't you just see this on a wall in a museum?

Walking downtown for regular Saturday breakfast Next Door.  Red/yellow tulips, with a hint of hyacinth in the upper right, and a few blue squill flowers here and there.

Bedding plants at the farmers' market!  Coleus.

Sweet alyssum (white and purple), marigolds (yellow, and varied orange/maroon), and basil.

I strongly suspect any basil put outside now is going to perish.  If the weather turns the least bit cold, it will.  Basil is the tenderest thing I've ever grown..........

But we can surely admire it now, and anticipate enjoying eating it............  I can almost smell it, looking at this pic........

More coleus.

Rex begonia.

Pansies.

Houseplants.  If I'd had my wits about me, I might have purchased this............

Succulent.  Love the fringy pink edges...........

This sounds like a good idea, especially if made from soft and comfy fabric.  I am all for comfort.....

I have liked every scone I've had from the Zingerman's Bakehouse.  The country scones are my fave.  They have oatmeal in them.........

Luckily, there was one left for me.  Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Glass is wonderful stuff..............  Love all that's going on here.............

It's all I can do to keep from buying plants now for outside -- but 39 tonight, they say. Not freezing but... I'm still hesitating, at least a week or two! LOVE coleus -- one of my favorites for big pots. Very showy and doesn't need lots of attention!

I'd rather wait a few weeks than buy them (and plant them!) twice.......

Coleus -- seems like every year they have more variety! Tinier, bigger, more frills on the edges of the leaves, more colors on one leaf, new colors..... Very tempting!
