January 7

.

"What is morally wrong can never be advantageous, even when it enables you to make some gain that you believe to be to your advantage. The mere act of believing that some wrongful course of action constitutes an advantage is pernicious." -- Marcus Tullius Cicero, statesman, orator, writer (106-43 BCE)

Looking out a screened window at clouds.  There was smoke (or steam?) coming out of the chimney, and what caught my eye was the subtle grays.

What caught the camera's eye was the screen.  THE SCREEN!!!!!

This is what the original pic looks like, mostly (a bit more screen shows here than in the original).

Now we'll look at what happens to the display of screen-grid, as we zoom in a lot.

All the rest of these op-art pics are screen captures of the original image as I zoomed in or out.

Wow, eh?

Now let's start getting less and less zoom.  Keep your eye on the pattern(s) over the sky.

Pretty amazing!

It was a cold, cloudy day.  There was still frost on the windows in the afternoon.
