Here is a link to the interactive expedition map.
On the road back to Vegas. We flew in to Vegas, and we went home from Vegas.
(I was not driving! I was in the back seat........)
We were above 8000 feet, on the plateau north of the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Now we're at 6000 feet. Still a lot higher than Ann Arbor (750 feet above sea level).
The skies...............
From the back seat I could take pics of what was on both sides of the road.....
A town. I think. But all of these houses are the same tan. Maybe a subdivision?
Closer crop. Note white stuff in foreground -- more people = more trash.............. >:-(
On the interstate, now.
I don't remember seeing this sort of plant in the other places we've visited.
A closer look at the sort of plant we see above.
It's a surprise every time you see water on the ground in this part of the country.
The last semi-close look at non-Michigan landscape.
I think this is what I was expecting, before this trip. Mostly flat (not this green!), with some high stuff here and there. All in all, we saw a much more ... elevated ... landscape than I'd expected. Much higher, and much lower, than I was expecting.
Starting to get close to Vegas, I think. This is the last pic I took on June 1.
Here is a link to the next post about the Grand Canyon expedition.
