June 11, 2017 -- my rose

.

This rose was planted by someone who owned our house before we bought it in 1985.  Every year it blooms, in spring and in fall.  And in 2017, it bloomed in July, too.

My better half (the tomato farmer) says he may have put some tomato food on the rose.  If so, that's the first time it's had any attention (other than whacking the dead bits) since we bought the house.

I am not a fan of things with thorns, but I make an exception for this rose, which just keeps going and going and going......

We are not the only ones enjoying this rose.

Bumblebee snack.
