Ice.

Still plenty of snow on the ground.

I think what happened here was that there was either frost or ice on the pavement.  The moisture is no longer frozen, but it hasn't yet evaporated.

I stop taking pics after I've picked up a bunch of trash.  I think I picked up 4 or 5 gloves on February 17.
