This is the pond in West Park.  Much of the pond surface was frozen (you can see more-or-less solid ice in the upper left).  I have no idea how those floating circles of ice formed!

It was a windy day, hence the ripples. 

Once in a lifetime pics -- this weird ice, the ripples, the duck.............  See his orange foot under him?  He's standing on a rock.........




Later.  On the way home.  The ice circles are barely visible (about a third of the way up from the bottom, toward the right), but no ducks.
