May 1, 2018

.

Sunrise on May 1, 2018.

After a cold and snowy April, everything popped at once.

Forsythia.  So glad to see YELLOW at the end of the winter!

Bloodroot.

Grape hyacinth.

This star magnolia is the earliest magnolia in our neighborhood.  None of the blooms were close enough to the ground that I could get a closeup, alas.

Species tulips.

Tulip.

Daffodils.

Forget-me-not.

Quince.

Serviceberry.

Closer.

Closer.

This is the first post I have made in almost a year in which the photos were taken and posted in the same month!  Hooray!
