November 13, 2018

.

7:08 am.

8:00 am.

I got dropped downtown to do some business with the post office.  I had to mail tax returns for the NGO I work with, and I needed stamps and postcards for more get-out-the-vote activities.

Walking home.  Snow on asters.  I saw several snowy chrysanthemums which were much sadder than this aster.

Snowy, but not dead yet.............

Crab apples in West Park.

Closer.  Robin feast!

There are a bunch of big crab apple trees in the park.

Snowy ravine between our neighborhood and Huron street.

Japanese maple.

Tulip tree.  Love this orangey brown.

Closer crop of the above.

Yay, we're back to blue flowers.  I would certainly rather have blue flowers on my get-out-the-vote postcards than red ones!

The snow on the asters is actually very pretty -- apart from the fact that it'll probably kill them off. Pity. I love them!

I love them, too, Jeanie.

I saw some snowy chrysanthemums that day, too, and (interestingly, I thought) they looked in much worse shape than the asters. The mums looked like they were through. We'll see about the asters. It's so much colder just now than it was then...... They probably are finished.
