I love the old-fashioned daylilies, and I love the new fancy ones, too.
The new ones aren't as tolerant of non-optimal growing conditions. Only two of my newer ones survive....

re: your comment, I agree, love to see samples of the fiber spun up, just to get an idea of how it might look. And you're right, the true test is in the knitting. I think that's one of my big questions/qualms with dyeing sock yarn in the traditional skein - not knowing how it's going to knit up and not wanting to knit a whole sock to find out. :)
