Saturday we went to Grand Rapids to see a swim meet. As you can see, it was a gorgeous day, and the color is very nice just now in south Michigan.
All of these images were taken through the windshield of a car moving at 70 mph. I am surprised that many of them were as salvageable as they were.
As you can see from the first pic, the camera chose to slightly overexpose and gray down these images. Luckily I don't have to live with its choices.
Mmmmm. Color.
It was very frustrating -- so many things I wanted to STOP and capture, but on the limited-access highway stopping is Not Done. I may have to get in the car and look for some rural (dirt?) roads where I can stop.... I saw corn (maize, to the rest of the world) fields that looked like corduroy.
Here is some corn in front of the trees. You don't get the corduroy effect here, as you're not looking down the rows.....
And now, because I can..................... Who knew the road was chartreuse!?!
