in the castle

The Smithsonian castle is currently the information center for the amazing collection of collections that is the Smithsonian.

We only had a few hours on the mall, and wandered into the castle to get a drink.

There are interesting plants on the windowsills.





















There is a smattering of objects giving a glimpse into the variety of things that can be seen across the mall at the Natural History Museum and the American History Museum.




















Washington is a fabulous place to visit. Myriad things to see and do. It was tantalizing to be there for only a few hours......
