The Delmarva peninsula showed off my favorite fall colors (lots of green, with orange, yellow, red) when we were there the last weekend of October. Michigan's color was pretty much gone by then, so I was very glad to find some more color to soak up.
The camera remembered these a lot duller and more washed out than I remembered them, so I have zipped up the saturation, and have increased the dark areas (fumbling to learn about "levels" instead of "contrast"). I also "poster-edged" 'em.
There were a lot more of these tall bare pale trunks in Maryland than we typically see in Michigan. I don't know if it's our same trees with a different growth habit, or if these are different trees. Aren't they striking?
