A lot of the rain that poured from the clouds on Thursday was still visible on Saturday. Cornfields had standing water in low places. Rivers were clearly higher than usual. I saw a roadside park with a couple of feet of water overtaking the grills and picnic tables.
This may be a pond that is always there, or maybe not....

That boldness of color, in the autumn scene...that blue!! The river that runs by our home is very low this year, I am sad to see it like that. I wish it were full like this...a powerful force of life!

I often think that if only the weather could be averaged out everywhere, we'd all be fine. It always seems that when someone is getting too much water, someone else doesn't have enough.....
