Go PHS!!!!!

Ann Arbor Pioneer High School has one of the very best high school swim programs in the country. Our husband and wife coaching team (Dennis and Liz Hill) have been incredibly successful, with dozens of state championships (women's and men's teams) to their credit.

The PHS women's team was number one nationally in 2002-3. National records were set in the 50 free, the 100 free, the 200 free relay, and the 400 free relay, all of which still stand but the 400 free. That team included Kara Lynn Joyce, who earned two silver medals for the USA in the 2004 Olympics.

The team shared national #1 with another school in 2004-5, and owned that title outright again in 2005-6.

They are aiming at that goal again this year. State prelims are today......

Swim fast, girls!!!!!

GO, PHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I took several pics of a purple and white petunia. Annoyingly, they were all blurry. Here is a purple and white iris from last May.

Go, Pioneer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
