taking the bus home

We live about a mile and a half from my office. So I can walk, or I can walk a few blocks, catch the bus, and then walk the last few blocks home.

The transit center is across the street from the library, and is right next door to the post office.

Standing by the stop for the #9, looking (mostly) east across the post office parking lot to the (red brick) library.

There's a concrete wall between the post office parking lot and the place where I wait for my bus. It has been sliced to let us walk through. I'm always intrigued by the variety of rocks. Not just here, but everywhere. So many different colors and textures.......

Lots of sidewalk squares were replaced in my neighborhood last summer (you may recall I spent several days blogging street repairs, and the sidewalk replacement was part of all that).

It's not just leaves whose impressions in uncured concrete are preserved for posterity.....

The grass begins to consider the possibility of thinking about turning green, in a red-car neighborhood.
