Following yesterday's plan of finding something note-worthy, even in the absence of color.
I live in a pretty stodgy neighborhood. Nothing quirky here. The paint-stamped wreath around the round window in my front door is probably the weirdest thing you can see (and it is obscured by an elderly rusty screen door).
So this is anomalous. I think they were hoping someone would take it, as it was still out the next day. In the rain.....
You can see the sun coming through the back (if you peek through the gap where the front curtain is forward), but you can't see the curtain gently wafting to and fro..... The movement, the translucence..... It seemed mysterious and interesting, and you wanted there to be something equally mysterious and interesting inside, revealed in glimpses as the curtain moved.....
I thought about taking it, myself, but resisted....
I think these next two are last year's echinacea.
Not as fond of the watercolor filter when the image is dry. Especially for trees.....
This woman's property is decidedly more interesting than anything in my neighborhood. She leads tours to Nepal.
She's got strings of dangly mirrors on her porch, and benches made of concrete fragments (at least I think that's what they're made of). And this.... I like the shadow.
To me this pic looks like the leaf is on top of the concrete. In reality the leaf was embedded in the concrete. It left its image behind, to be enjoyed decades longer than the leaf itself lasted.
