I love this house. Love the details -- the pointy roof over the bend in the porch; the way the bricks curve around to meet the attic windows.....

The pink horse chestnut we saw over the fence this morning, looking back in exactly the opposite direction. The brick building in background is the library, and the blue you see, middle left, is the overhang under which I stood in the morning.....

From a distance I thought this was purple sweet alyssum.
Nope. Don't know what this is, but I think it's a perennial...........

On the other side of the street, more purple. I like the watercolor version of this image better than the original, especially as it preserves the name of the business while abstracting and obscuring the identity of the person....
It was the purple with the green, and those sharp white accents, that caught my eye. I don't usually like to have random strangers in my pics, but the woman with the computer adds to this one, I think.
