Friday I had lunch with my oldest friend.
We met in French class in 7th grade, and were best friends all through junior high. My family moved away after junior high, but C. and I stayed friends right through college. We've stayed friends all along, though with less contact in the last couple of decades (despite living not too far apart).
Lunch Friday was the first time we've had one-on-one time in way too long.
It was very good indeed to have that time to reconnect, and I predict we won't wait long to take another afternoon.
