a new world record!

.

My husband's golf league is divided into the first half of the season, and the second half of the season.

No team has ever won both halves -- until this year, when the good guys pulled it off.

Good work, dear!

Each year the league trophy spawns a litter of mugs. Winning team members get to keep the mugs, and the trophy rotates. We had a couple of mugs from previous years, but this is the first time I'd seen the trophy.

I liked this light, even thought it was kind of tricky (trying to wash out the trophy). I like the blue of the poster on the wall (faded out tiger, hand carried home from the British Museum in 1985) with the blue on the trophy. I like the shadow of the trophy on the left side. I like the reflection off the brass plate with previous years' winners on the wall behind.

I've never quite bought into the notion that photography is art. But look here - how can one deny the beauty?
