last stage, walking home September 25

.

At the foot of Mulholland are these condos, in what used to be an industrial building.

I have toured a couple of these, and they are cool. The front is open, top to bottom, with all those nice windows. The back, on the ground floor, is the kitchen, a bedroom, and a bath. Upstairs, in back is a wide balcony overlooking the living room, another bedroom, and another bath. At least one of the ones I saw used the balcony as an office.

Back view of condos.

Mulholland curves around behind the condos, and then meets Washington. The green in the lower right is the cannas whose leaves we look at from time to time.

This nice yellow house is the place which harbors the milkweeds we've been enjoying. You can see the milkweeds by the steps up from the sidewalk.

Cosmos.

Morning glory. Look how the petals are rolling back into the center.

Love the swirl........

Kitteh.

Maple.

While I was photographing the leaf, the kitteh decided to become friendly. He(?) was very nice, enjoying scritches and never offering me the Belly Of Death ("come on, rub my belly, why don't you, so I can nail you with every claw at once!").

He is skin and bones (and hair) -- I hope he has been newly adopted or something. I have been checking the lost&found in the paper, but no one is missing a cat of his description......

Hope he is ok. I have no use for nasty cats, but nice ones shouldn't be skin and bones................

Here is this excellent fruit again, in kinder light.....

Rose hips. These are huge. More than an inch in diameter (3cm, more or less, I bet).

Petunia.

Rose.

Marigold. Love the rolled-up green petals in the center!

This is the same apple we've been looking at, from the other side. I like the one little leaf that is the same color as the fruit.

Autumn crocus.

Crabapple.

Nearly at the end of a pleasant walk on a gorgeous early-fall day.

I surely hope he is ok.

I haven't been by there since last week (took a different path when I walked down, this week, and the weather was such that I didn't walk home!

Still no kitteh's in the paper of his description, lost or found.....
